I wanted to do a few posters/flyers with lyrics portrayed in a design style not usually associated with the genre of the lyrics. I used lyrics from Trillville’s song Neva Eva, and made a poster in a zine inspired style. On the left is a digital piece, and on the right is a handmade version.

In the handmade version, I laid out type (using articles describing rap/hip hop) in a similar way to the original digital version. I then printed out and tea-stained the paper. I printed and cut out each individual letter and glued them to a ripped piece of paper. I then took photos of my mouth, added half-tone effects in Photoshop, and printed the photos out on red card stock. I then distressed a couple of areas on the paper the type was laid on.
