Buffalo Chop Shop is a casual branding project. The client, who works on both his and his friends' cars, wanted a logo he could use to brand himself and his services.
The logo had to reflect vintage car culture, as one of the client's passions is vintage muscle cars. Knowing this, the final logo was rendered to look like a bison in pinstripe form. The type treatment also had to have vintage styling. The title type is set in a sign painter inspired style to match the styling of the logo itself, and the tagline type is set in a thick retro sans serif.
The overall branding and copy needed to convey a sense of humor. Nothing stuffy here!
